Under 12 Shield Final
Seans 3-06
Cremartin 0-08

On Friday night in Rooskey our under 12 side had a titanic struggle in the Division 2 Shield Final before eventually over coming Cremartin, it took extra time to decide the outcome. Both sides were locked together on four points apiece after regulation time, despite very few scores on the board this was anything but a dull game, it was hectic end to end stuff throughout. Our youngsters led at the interval by two points to one, Shane Farrell opening the scoring after 12 minutes, Aidan Ward doubling the tally two minutes later with a classy point, midfielder Kevin Mc Vicar getting Cremartin off the mark in the 18th minute. Two second half frees from our man of the match midfielder Niall Kearns in the 10th and 12th minute completed our lads tally.

Sean McDermotts had the honour of lifting the Paddy Kieran Cup on Saturday last (July 19th) after a clinical perofrmance that saw of the challenge of Oram. The Sean's third senior team set the pace in this division all season and few would argue that this win was richly deserved. The players on this team have gelled well and have put some impressive performances together culminating in this three points victory. For a club the size of this one it is remarkable that there are enough players to even field three teams so everyone involved with this panel deserves great credit. Match report to come soon.
