JFL Final Seans 1 - 12 Cremartin 0 - 14 (24th Oct 2010)
By virtue of their one point win on Sunday last in Ballybay in the final of Junior Football League our adult squad won the Dr. Ward Cup and gained promotion to Intermediate ranks for 2011.
Play in ideal conditions this was an exciting encounter between too evenly matched teams; both sets of supporters kept on tender hooks throughout, the outcome in doubt right up to the final whistle. Our boys were first on the offensive James Treanor landing a fisted point in the opening minute. Eleven minute in the Cremartin defence were marked absent and the first real goal chance appeared a Damien Larkin pass found Daire Freeman on the edge of the small square but Freeman's quickly taken shot was just inches wide of the upright. Half way through the half our boys were just shading the battle for supremacy, Patrick Kieran found James Treanor with an exquisite pass and the left footed Treanor on the run split the posts from thirty yards........
