Club Development
There has been a lot of work ongoing over the last few weeks, as the new boundary fence to our training field is completed. This work is very impressive and, while there are some odds and ends still to be completed, we are nearly there. This is another part of our development plan and now ticked of the list. A big thanks to all who have helped in any way.

Reserve Championship
Without doubt our eighty seven minutes of football, under the glorious sunshine , in Aghabog last Sunday was serious value for money for all spectators. This was the Reserve Championship preliminary round and a home tie for Aghabog. The game had the X factor from the throw in, with Rory Lynden hitting the net after twenty seconds, only to have this cancelled out at the other end within two minutes. This would be the cut and thrust of the game with both teams going hell for leather for possession and scores. It was gruelling, at times, in the heat but this did not deter either team. Some fine scores by both sides to see us to the break but the home team had taken the benefit of the breeze and were five points to the good. The second half had the Seans chasing the lead and coming close but finding it difficult to push in front. However, two superb dead ball two pointers from Odhran Connolly did give us a slight advantage. But the game would be heading extra time regardless. Our lads stepped up well in the first period and managed to tip the scoreboard on to our advantage. It was totally energy sapping as we headed to the last ten minutes and despite a flurry from the home team, we held on for the win, 3-23 to 3-21. Compliments to both teams for a highly entertaining encounter, and we get to do it all again at the weekend in the Junior League, as we will host Aghabog on Sunday.

 Minor Boys
Truagh were our guests on Tuesday last for the latest round of the Division Two league. Having suffered a heavy defeat away to the visitors in round one, the lads were determined to make this one count. It was a tough encounter from the off but the Seans did take a four point lead into the break. The second period gave Truagh the upper hand and they pushed in front for much of the half, however, fortune favours the brave and in added time and two points in arrears, the lads manufactured a winning goal. A great result in the end and reward for their hard work. Next up is St. Patricks, in Ballybay before we break for exams.

U12 Boys
The leagues have now started for both squads. The weekend had a home win in Division One to Emyvale and defeat in Division Six away to the same opposition. Very early days but the squads are putting in the effort and hopefully will be rewarded.

 U12 Girls
Well done to the girls who had a great victory over Brigid O’Neills in their latest league game. Some great skills on show and the girls worked tirelessly in the evening sunshine to take their scores and secure the win.

U16 Girls
The girls are finding the going tough in Division One and wins are not easy to come by. O’Neill Shamrocks were the visitors on Monday night and notwithstanding our best efforts, it was another defeat. It’s just a case of sticking with it and hoping to turn the fortunes around.

Minor Girls
An away tie with Inniskeen last Thursday was never going to be easy. The girls have given a good account of the themselves to date, but a few injuries on the night, put them under pressure and the home team were comfortable winners in the end. The break for exams looms and a chance to recharge the batteries.
