SENIOR MENS ULSTER JUNIOR LEAGUE
Our Senior Men kicked off their season with a home game in the Ulster League against Collegeland O’Rahilly’s from Armagh on Sunday last. Under the new Management, with Mark Keogh at the helm, the team had a number of new faces from the minor ranks of last year, and most of our regulars from previous seasons. It was a good mixture of youth and experinece and this was evident as they powered into a strong lead in the first half. However, short purple patch from the visitors in the last minutes of ths period had them scoring 1-3 in quick succession. Despite this, we still maintained an eight point lead at the break. The second period was quite competitve as we introduced more replacements and eventually closed out the game with a six point win. It’s always good to start well and next up is away to Derrytresk, from Co. Tyrone, on Sunday at 12 noon.
