AGM

Our annual general meeting took place on Sunday last. To a packed room, our Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, addressed the membership and detailed our trials and tribulations of 2023 along with the Clubs finances and developments. Despite relegation to the Junior League, the future remains bright with our juveniles, ladies teams and the development plans afoot for the coming year and beyond. Our executive committee had a number of members not seeking re-election for the coming year and we would like to thank Sean Mullen, Karen McKenna, Enda Murphy, Sean Grant and Ryan Connolly for their efforts and commitment during their terms. Along with these members our Secretary, Fergal Ward, was stepping down after three years in the position. Fergal is a popular figure around the club and we wholeheartedly thank him for his time in the position. However, we must confirm, to all his fans on our online Bingo, that he will be remaining as one of our announcers, so, need to worry. We would like to welcome Shauna Hagan who will now take up the role of Secretary and to Peter Sherry, Paraic McGuirk, Olga Connolly, and Kelsey Maguire who will join the executive committee. The Chairmans address emphasised that we continue to strive to be the centre and hub of the community and this will continue for 2024.

Lighting the Future Fundraiser

The fundraiser is now taking to the road so all members can expect a friendly visit from our canvassing teams in the coming weeks.

We are currently collating pictures and memorabilia of ladies and mens teams, and general events in the club of yesteryear. If anyone has photos, programmes or anything which you feel maybe of interest please contact our PRO, Adrian Forde on 0862760848. All items will be copied and returned. This work has started with new photos etc on display in the Plex Bar.
