2025 Volunteer of The Year
The Sean Mac Diaramda Club are delighted to confirm that Therese Brennan has been selected as our Volunteer of the Year for 2025. Therese and her family have a long association with the Club. Her everyday life is in the legal profession, and in this modern world, the administration of a GAA Club has now become extremely detailed and complex and it is an invaluable asset to have someone of her experience on hand for this. When it comes to these detailed issues, she works away in the background without fuss or worry and never fails to produce the goods for the Club. Her professionalism and knowledge are second to none when it comes to the complexities of law etc. and the Club is most grateful for this. The presentation of this award will take place on Saturday the 17th January at the Monaghan GAA ceremony.

End of An Era – Thank You
This week marks the end of The Northern Standard. The paper has been a friend and outlet to all GAA clubs for decades. Long before the digital age, it was the go-to publication on a Thursday. Through all the victories and triumphs to the sad and dark days, the paper reported it all. It has been in everybody’s life at some stage or another.
