The Hoodoo Continues

Following on from the scramble for tickets for Croke Park, we were once again bound for the capital on Saturday last. However by 5.30pm we were left wondering how the Tyrone Hoodoo can be broken. The Trojan effort of the second half and the introduction of our own Niall Kearns lifted the spirits up until the thirty eighth minute when , twenty seconds early, David Gough called a halt to the proceedings. Once again the minimum separated the sides and Monaghan were out of the race for Sam. Well done to Niall and his commitment to the cause, but we will look forward to his return to the Club for the upcoming games.

Junior Football League

We will be hosting Killeevan , at home, on Sunday at 3pm. This will be round four of the league with one further round to decide play off places.

Juvenile Action

The Sean Ogs were once again on the road and Currin were the host Club on Saturday last. Well done to the players who had a great morning playing against Monaghan Harps, Clontibret and Currin.

Our U13’s and U17’s fell on their sword as both teams recorded defeats against their respective opponents. The U13’s were away to Rockcorry on Saturday, however, an unbeaten Rock were not prepared to roll over and maintained their one hundred percent league record. Although we had some great passages of play and scores, the Seans could not bridge gap. The U17’s were also away from home as they played St.Pats on Sunday morning. A highly charged encounter throughout, deceived to flatter, and while the effort wasn’t in doubt the conversion of scores was and the home team ran out winners.
