Junior Championship

Our Championship trail took us to Inniskeen on Saturday last to face Oram in the semi final of the competition. At the business end of the year, all games become a struggle on the day, and this was no different. Despite playing with a very strong breeze in the first half we tussled and harried in all areas seeking to dominate with limited success. That said, a goal after four seconds from the throw in , did give us a good starting place. A quick ball in and Adam O Driscoll rattled the kitchen with our opening score. Scores were exchanged during the half and Oram had edged ahead until Paraic McGuirk’s wonder goal of the season nudged us in front. A shot of such delicacy and cunning , taken from some way out , which would have overshadowed anything from across the water on Match of the Day later on Saturday night. This gave us the slight impetus that we needed for victory. The second half eventually moulded itself into a stop start affair that would peter out into a Seans win. It must be said, this was in spite of an ambiguous penalty which was duly converted by Oram in the later stages. In the end we had five points to spare and our passage to the final was secure. Our big day out takes place on the 6th November with table toppers Toome the opposition. Well done to the lads and management as our 2021 championship adventure continues and we will take it all as it comes.

Championship Programme

There will be an opportunity for business to place advertisements in the Junior Final programme. The cost is as follows: Full Page €150 and Half Page €75. All advertisements must be paid for in advance of the publication of the programme and this can be arranged by contacting Karen Mc Kenna on 0879083438. Closing date for Advertisements is Thursday Oct 28th 6.00pm.

AGM

Our AGM will be on Sunday 28th Nov. at 2pm. All nomination & notice of motions papers have been distributed to all members. All completed nomination forms must be returned to the club Secretary by Sunday 7th Nov.
