The Great Shave Off

Congratulations to all our volunteers who participated in the Movember Challenge. On Friday night, with the help of Lisa Thornton from The Chop Shop, the lads had all their facial hair removed all in a good cause. Well done to Sean McElvaney and Brendan Finan who went the extra mile and got their heads shaved also. This caused a frenzy of bidding with the crowd donating money at will but also suggesting more removals. Thankfully they halted at the heads. A big thanks to Fergal Ward, Fergal McQuillan, Brian McPhillips, Ashley Maguire, Niall Kearns, Adam O’Driscoll, Mark McGuigan and Pearse Murphy, who along with Brendan and Sean stuck to their task for the month and have raised substantial funds for the Crocus Mens Den. Thanks also to all those who contributed during the growing season and on the night. The results of the amounts raised will be made known at the Monaghan GAA convention on Thursday 8th Dec. Good luck lads.

Mass of remembrance for the deceased members of the club will take place in St Marys Church on Sunday the 18th Dec at 10am.

Gerrys Takeaway

Our U13 boys benefited from the generosity of Gerry Mc Elroy from Ballybay who recently sponsored new kit bags for the squad. Gerry’s Takeaway is synonymous with supporting clubs all over the County. The Club would sincerely like to thank Gerry for the new bags and support for the Sean Mac Diarmada players.
